Pastor Obiajulu Esther Isichei was born at The Baptist Hospital Issele- uku to Mr Nathaniel Young Isichei and *Mrs Maria Isichei (nee Oshai) both of Obior Town in Aniocha North Local Government Area Delta State Nigeria on the 17th of April 1965. She was the first among four siblings.
She started her early education at Igwobotiku Primary School Agbor 1971 – 1972, St Luke Primary School Sapele 1972 – 1975, Mgbala Primary School Okpanam 1975 - 1977 where she completed her primary education and proceeded to Marymount College Agbor 1977 – 1982, she distinguished herself in the General Certificate of Education Examination by coming out in flying colours, she went further for her Advance Levels at Federal Government Girls College Benin - City 1982 – 1983 before moving to Federal Polytechnic Auchi 1983 – 1988, where she came out with Upper Credit in Estate Management, she did her National Youth Service at Nigeria Agriculture and Cooperative Bank Kaduna in 1988/1989
Pastor Obi as she is popularly known was into real Estate, she worked for a few companies in Lagos between 1989 and 1996, then fulfil her calling by going into full-time after she successfully completed her studies and training at LoveWorld Ministerial College and subsequent ordination in 1996.
Some of her ministry work includes the following;
- Pioneer Pastor/ Coordinator Youth for Christ Fellowship “Now Believers LoveWorld” Federal Polytechnic Auchi 1987 to 1988.
- Pioneer Pastor Christ Embassy Satellite Church Ketu Lagos 1997 – 1998.
- Pioneer Pastor Christ Embassy Monrovia Liberia 1998 – 2000
- Pioneer Pastor Christ Embassy Owerri 2000 – 2005
- Group Pastor Christ Embassy Satellite Church New Benin Benin-City 2005 – 2007
- Group Pastor Christ Embassy Satellite Church Upper Sakponba Benin-city 2007 – 2008
- Group Pastor Christ Embassy Satellite Church Metro 1 Kaduna 2008 – 2009
She was recalled to Christ Embassy Headquarters Lagos in 2009 and was waiting for further posting before she passed on in Abuja on 15th April 2011.
In her life Pastor served God and humanity with all her heart , she was the love of God personified, and always leave a remarkable impression in the life of everybody she come in contact with , she was not only a soul winner, but also a soul builder, an inspiration to her world and generation. Pastor Obi did a lot of charity work both in the sanctuary and beyond the sanctuary, but she did not shout about it, her most outstanding virtue is her ability to stick to the truth, despise hypocrisy at any level and rather please God than man no matter the situation and circumstances; she was indeed a woman of pure heart.
She left behind her father, Mr Nathaniel Young Isichei, Brothers, Mr Dili Angus Isichei and Mr Chuks Dennis Isichei, sister, Mrs Joyce Akaduchi Efeturi, brother in-law Mr Victor Efeturi, Sisters in-law Mrs Nkeiruka Isichei and Mrs Vivian Isichei, niece, Mamoke Efeturi, Nephews, Chukwu Isichei, Ebuka Isichei, Munachi Isichei, Chidera Isichei, Chukwufunanya Isichei and Uncles, Aunties, Cousins, Step - Sisters too numerous to mention.
